Our Story

KET is a Vietnamese word meaning “to weave.” We chose this name intentionally, as it reflects both our clinical philosophy and lived experience.

At KET Psychological Group, we believe healing happens through the careful weaving together of a person’s many experiences, including culture, family history, identity, relationships, and life transitions. Each individual and couple carries unique threads shaped by where they come from and what they have endured. Our work is to help make sense of those threads and create something more whole, grounded, and intentional.

The name KET is also a personal tribute. The founder’s father was a tailor, someone who worked with his hands to stitch together pieces of fabric into something functional, meaningful, and lasting. In many ways, therapy mirrors that process—working with what is present, honoring what came before, and creating space for something new to take form.

As a child of refugees and immigrants, I understand how identity, belonging, and family history can quietly shape how we relate to ourselves and others.

KET Psychological Group honors cultural roots while also recognizing the importance of forming one’s own identity. Much of our work centers on understanding and gently breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma so individuals and couples can live with greater awareness, choice, and connection.
